Goryeo-Byeongcha
This special form of green tea pressed into round medallions was widely celebrated during the peak of Korean tea culture in the Goryeo Dynasty (918–1392). Made in early spring from young tea buds, tea medallions were originally stone-milled into powder to be whisked with water—much like modern-day matcha.
Our modern tea medallions have been crafted to be easily brewed like loose leaf tea. Break into fine pieces with a mortar & pestle and brew in your preferred vessel. Enjoy the earthy notes with no bitterness. The leaves can be rebrewed at least five times.
